TAKE YOUR TEAM TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Your club’s reputation is the driving factor in determining how much income you can receive, both in terms of setting stadium income, as well as your team’s amount of general daily income.

In 1.4, the 5 ‘stars’ formerly used to represent your clubs reputation will be equated to and replaced by a grading on a wider level of 1-20.

In existing worlds, the calculation behind this will be as before; all that will change is that a 5* club now will be a Level 18/19/20 club in the coming update, and vice versa for clubs currently rated at 1* or 2*. At re-launch, however, club Levels will be decided based on a new system, which is described below.

THE BASICS

The main focus of the new system is performance on the pitch, with results going a long way to decide the reputation of your club. The system prioritises official competitions, and as such only competitions deemed as Major count. These consist of:

  • Your domestic FA’s main seasonal leagues.
  • Up to two main FA-based cups.
  • Senior UFFA competitions, in the form of the Gold, Silver and Cup Winner’s cups, along with the Game World Cup too.

As per the pic below, you can view the status of reputation levels attained/being attained by looking at your club 'History' page.

Attained Reputation

Each Major competition will be assigned a minimum and maximum attainable reputation, which will enforce a range of level points that a club can achieve based on its performance in that competition.

SIMPLY THE BEST

Each season it is the only the best level attained by your side that counts to the competition based side of your team’s overall reputation. Some may chose, as a result, to attack all Major competitions they enter, whilst others will choose to focus on one in particular.

The only variance is in the case of FA leagues that run more than once a season, in which circumstances the attained reputation gathered each round will be computed into an overall average at the end of the season.

IN DETAIL: COMPETITION ATTAINABLE LEVELS

Each Major competition will be now be set each season with a range of attainable reputation points (the maximum is 20), based on some simple general rules:

Leagues: Each league will be awarded a range of level points, from 1 point (for the bottom of the lowest tier) up to 18 points (top of the highest tier - see pic, below). Within that structure each league tier (or division) will overlap by around 1 point. So if the bottom of the top tier is worth 14 points, then winner of the second tier would get 15 points.

Attainable Rep

Cups: A main cup competition is worth 1 point less than the highest level team involved would attain for winning the league they are in, so if your main cup is an FA Cup, then the winner could achieve 17 points (one less than winning the Premiership), all the way down to 1 point for those knocked out at the start. Secondary cup competitions are generally worth 1 point less than a main cup in most rounds.

UFFA: These competitions, as the pinnacle of competitive GameWorld activity, work differently to domestic competitions. The Gold Cup would generally have a minimum attainable reputation of 1 point below winning the game’s top domestic league, guaranteeing at least 17 level points to all those entering, with the maximum being a full 20 points (something unachievable through all other competitions). Following on from that, the Silver Cup is 2 levels less than Gold, so carrying 15 to 18 points, and the Cup Winner’s Cup another level lower, so carrying 14 to 17.

A new level of opportunity to all is, meanwhile, offered by the Game World Cup, which carries a maximum attainable level of 16. With entry being open to all, the attainable level starts at a minimum of 1, but the maximum of 16 should give extra hope to all those looking for the golden cup run that will change the profile of their teams forever.

THE FINAL INGREDIENTS

It is not only the most recently completed season’s results that count towards your reputation Level, but those over the past two seasons too. In addition to this, as before, the quality of players in your squad will play some part in influencing the perceived level of your team. The full calculation is as follows (see picture also):

  • Your competition performances over three seasons (60% for the most recent, 30% for the previous season, 10% for the season before that) will represent 70% of the calculation.

New System

  • A combined total of the average reputation of your best 16 players (75%) and the average ability of your best 16 players (25%) will represent the remaining 30%.

IN SUMMARY

The new system is a much clearer way of contextualising the profile of a club. By assessing the attainable reputations of the competitions in which you are due to participate each season, you will be able to directly assess where the main opportunities for you and your team lie.

Success is now the main way to move your club forward, but it is important to stress that there’s everything to play for managers of all clubs – be it the top league title that can give your club a level 18 rating, or the cup run that can give your club a golden lucky break.

We hope your team hit the heights under the new system – good luck!
