EXTRA! EXTRA!

As always, the next update is full of additional surprises aside from its main features and changes, and some of these are summarised below:

CASUAL FA OFFLINE RIGHTS

The way offline match rights operate in Casual FAs is changing to give less active managers the chance to either maximise the matches they are able to play in one session, or spread their offline rights over a wider span of time.

Specifically, the system enables two modes to be used: Home Playing Rights, and Away Playing Rights. These allow either the home or away team to start a match against his offline opponents during the 5-day period leading up to a game's resolution date.

This change has been well received in Beta, and we hope Casual FA managers appreciate the greater freedom it offers.

PLACE A BET

Managers can now bet on the result of matches, with the bet being made in Reward Points.

This is a great way to spice up a match, and potentially a real point-spinner for those looking to gather enough to buy the best items the FML Store has to offer.

NEW TOUCHLINE INSTRUCTIONS

Some great new touchline instructions are added in 1.4; these are:

  • Play out of defence
  • Hit early crosses
  • Run at defence
  • Play through defence

Let us know if you use the new instructions to your advantage in 1.4!

CPU CLUB LOGOS

FML’s CPU clubs have been busy preparing for the regular battles in which the Challenges system will see them involved. As a result, each club now has its own logo – for the pride of which the team will fight to the last second to defend!

THE RED MIST LIFTS

Just as injuries will no longer stick in non-Major competitions, nor will red cards – so you can now look forward to playing more games with your strongest squad.

SQUAD SIZE

Managers can now have up to 60 players training at a club before an excess squad-size begins to impact on player development. Good news for those intent on building some of the world’s biggest academies, meanwhile, is that, until the age of 22, players brought into the team via youth academies won't count towards the cap at all!
